We Are A Community Service Organization

Established on May 6, 1927, the Smyrna-Clayton Rotary Club has been a cornerstone of community service in Smyrna and Clayton, Delaware, for nearly a century. As a chapter of Rotary International, the club unites business and professional leaders dedicated to providing humanitarian service, upholding high ethical standards, and fostering goodwill and peace worldwide.

With a diverse and active membership exceeding 30 individuals, the Smyrna-Clayton Rotary Club engages in various initiatives to enhance local quality of life. Notably, the club organizes an annual car show, a signature fundraising event that supports local non-profit organizations such as the Boy Scouts, Little League, and the Boys and Girls Club. Additionally, the club awards scholarships to deserving high school graduates, demonstrating a strong commitment to education and youth development.

Members convene weekly for breakfast meetings every Thursday at 7:15 AM at the Bridgeway Family Restaurant, located at 15 East Glenwood Avenue, Smyrna, Delaware 19977. These gatherings provide opportunities for fellowship, professional growth, and collaborative planning of service projects. The club’s inclusive and hands-on approach encourages members to take active roles in community initiatives, fostering a sense of family and shared purpose.

The Smyrna-Clayton Rotary Club’s enduring impact is evident through its extensive contributions to the community, including distributing over $25,600 to deserving organizations and individuals during the 2016-2017 year. By embracing the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self,” the club continues to be a driving force for positive change in the Smyrna and Clayton areas.
